The image area measures 19.5 x 28 cm [7¾" x 11"], and longitude is measured from London. A table shows the distances from town to town, in English and German miles. The map was drawn by Thomas Bowen and published in A New and Authentic System of Universal Geography, Antient and Modern Geography, by Thomas Bankes, London, 1788. (See below for the full title.)
