The image area measures 24 x 17 cm [9½" x 6¾"], and longitude is measured from Greenwich and Washington. The map was compiled and engraved by W. & A.K. Johnston and issued in the 9th edition of the Encyclopædia Britannica, published by Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, in 1884. Condition: It is in excellent condition, bright and clean, with no rips, tears, or writing. It is blank on the back, with no printing on the reverse side.
