ITEM: RARE Original Snapshot Photo of M103 HEAVY TANK (120mm Gun) TANKERS, COMPANY B, 899th TANK BATTALION, 7th Army in West Germany, circa 1958-1959, Private Coolbaugh is on the right. He is wearing an 899th TANK BATTALION 120mm PATCH on right side of his chest. RARE PHOTO. This was the only US Army unit equipped with these heavy M109 tanks. Later on this same battalion was redesignated 2nd Battalion, 33rd Armor, but it was still the same and only US Army unit with these tanks. Photo is from Private Coolbaugh, M103 tank crewman in Company B, 899th Tank Battalion in West Germany. SORRY.
