Since 1973, the Bratislava Music Festival has been the only Slovak representative in the European festival association EFA, which is based in Brussels.It is primarily organized by the Slovak Philharmonic, the honorary president of the BHS is Edita Gruberova. They are held annually, for two weeks at the turn of September and October, during which dozens of symphonic and chamber concerts are performed.The Bratislava Music Festival focuses on two aspects. The presentation of prominent foreign orchestras, prestigious soloists and excellent conductors.Festival is also a presentation of important Slovak musicians and orchestras giving opportunities to young talented performers. The offered dramaturgy of the festival is also an opening space for works that are rarely introduced at concert stages.
