Description: Papua New Guinea Very Old Hand Carved Palembei Tribe Ancestral Figure Sepik Area Acquired from a private collection in Cairns Australia about 40 years ago. Ancestral figure to protect family and as a place for past spirits to rest. Shell eyes and hand carved of wood. Interestingly there are red fibers packed into the cracks. Hand carved with stone tools. Probably about 100 years old. Minor age cracking as expected for its age.Please note that your shipping is free.
