Description: Photograph Notes: Refreshment stop on the South Downs Way as a mobile food outlet has been permanently parked in one of the flint barns in the hamlet of Saddlescombe. The barn itself offers a roof over a few tables and chairs and despite being open to the elements all food and beverages are served on china plates or cups. It is even suitable for horse riders a couple of whom had stopped when I was there drinking tea whilst holding their horses in the area in front of the van whilst dogs are also welcome. The cafe has been here since June 2009 and will close down after the New Year but reopen again on March 1st.
