Description: Up for bid is a preserve spoon in the scarce DOMESTIC pattern by Gorham, introduced in 1881. The spoon is 7 3/8 inches long and weighs 31 grams. It has a fluted bowl with a stippled finish with a very faint gold wash. It is monogrammed “D” on the handle front. The spoon is marked with the Gorham trademark, "PAT. 81" and “STERLING”. Condition on the spoon is fairly good. Aside from even wear to the gilding, the bowl tip is very slightly blunted. A good piece in a desirable old pattern!
