Description: This is a special find for an art collector and/or historian—an original etching by German artist Rudolph Veit, published and distributed by the renowned Kunstverlag Max Sinz publishing firm. In 1943, the firm was closed by authorities in relation to World War II. In 1945, the firm’s building was destroyed during Allied bombing raids, marking the official end of operations, as it did not reopen after the war. About Veit: “His works often featured detailed depictions of landmarks, bridges, and old town scenes, showcasing a blend of artistic precision and nostalgia. Veit’s etchings are characterized by their meticulous line work and often incorporate subtle color, highlighting the architectural and cultural heritage of places like Nuremberg. His works were widely distributed through galleries and publishers like Max Sinz in Dresden.” About Max Sinz: “Max Sinz was a prominent art publisher and dealer based in Dresden, Germany, with a focus on conservative artistic works during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Kunstverlag Max Sinz published various artworks, including postcards and prints, often featuring landscapes, cityscapes, and scenes by notable artists like Rudolph Veit. Sinz’s works were highly regarded for their quality and detail.” Approximate Measurements:Frame: 14x16”Scene: 11.5x 8¾” Condition:Overall, the etching is in great condition.
