Description: In May of '84, to promote the release of Bruce Springsteen's forthcoming "Born In the USA" album, Columbia Records printed and distributed a limited amount of these simple, plain white tees to music business friends. It was an underplay, a subtle statement of "here comes the new album from the reigning king of rock & roll" in an otherwise boastful industry. Being a big fan lucky enough to score one, I wore it sparingly for a few years and then stored it carefully. Make no mistake, it's an old tee but there are no holes, no stains, no odor, and no label. You can find some near virgin versions of this same shirt on eBay right now, but I doubt that any of them were worn at the opening of the "Born in the USA" tour in St. Paul, MN, on June 29, 1984, as was this one. It's fits on the small side of "medium."
