Actual drawing dimensions are 13.625" x 16.75." This portrait was completed in July, 1981 (on the back). The piece is signed "Sularz" lower right. The drawing and frame are in excellent condition. The artist, Philip Sularz, has been exhibiting since 1965. Born in Minneapolis, he was a student of the New York Abstract expressionist, Peter Busa, Milton Howard, Hank Rowan, Mario Volpe, and Malcolm Myers. Mr. Sularz's work is found in collections throughout the United States and Canada. The artist may be referenced in Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in America. This portrait depicts Bobby Kennedy looking directly toward the viewer and is resting his chin on his hand. The stress and enormous responsibility of the times are reflected in his face. The name "Bobby" and date are written on the back of the frame just above the artist's signature. This portrait is part of a series depicting his other brothers, John and Ted.
