Description: This scarce 1940s “True Blue" cardboard tobacco canister, measuring 5” x 5 7/8”, is in excellent condition with no dents and some very minor paper scrapes and chips. There is s nearly complete tax stamp. This very attractive blue canister with black lettering features an illustration of a Bald Eagle with American flags. The tobacco was manufactured by the Reid Tobacco Company, Milton, PA in Factory 74, 1st District, MO. The company’s motto was “We pledge to serve our customers with fresh merchandise at the best possible price.” A “True Blue" WWII canister in this condition rarely comes up for sale.
