Description: Portrait of Senator Robert F. Kennedy. Oil on canvas. This painting measures 24" x 30." This portrait was completed in July 1974 (on the back). The piece is signed "Sularz" lower right. The painting is in very good condition. Minor impression just to the left of ear from old frame. The artist, Philip Sularz, has been exhibiting since 1965. Born in Minneapolis, he was a student of the New York Abstract expressionist, Peter Busa, Milton Howard, Hank Rowan, Mario Volpe, and Malcolm Myers. Mr. Sularz's work is found in collections throughout the United States and Canada. The artist may be referenced in Who's Who in the East, Who's Who in America. This portrait depicts a pensive Bobbie Kennedy dressed in a suit and tie. He is looking off to the side at the crowd and is shown in a head and shoulders pose. The words "R. Kennedy" are written on the back of the painting just above the artist's signature and date. This portrait is part of a series depicting his other brothers, John and Ted.
