After attending Miss Porter's School for Girls she appeared in numerous theatrical productions and motion pictures. She married Arthur von Wiesenberger, an investment banker, in New York City in 1952 and she had her only child, Arthur "Nipper" von Wiesenberger a year later. She was active with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Metropolitan Opera, The Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Hammond Museum and Japanese Stroll Garden in Westchester County. Her interest in art and philosophy resulted with numerous journeys overseas and eventually settling in Europe where she lived until moving to Montecito in 1977.
