Description: Signed first edition, first printing hardcover copy of The Fascinating Girl by Helen B. Andelin (Pacific Press, 1970). Flat signed by author on front free endpaper. A curious vintage book on what Andelin believed to be the proper way to present oneself and attract a man. Speaks on several topics: etiquette / beauty / self-help / religion / hygiene. Jacket is now protected in new archival sleeve but previously suffered moderate wear, including rubbing/scuffing to faces and chipping, creases and tears around the edges. Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped. A few instances where binding material is visible in gutters, but spine is straight and binding remains quite firm on the whole. Previous owner’s inscription on front endpaper and very faint blemishes to outer edges of text block, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
