Description: Vintage Sony early portable black & white transistor television, model 5-307UW with extras. This lot includes the TV's original box, a power cord, the EAC-6 external antenna connector (and a VGA to coaxial adapter), and the very rarely seen PDA VBU-2 external battery with leather case. This television dates to 1962, making it one of the earlier Sony portables. This particular example is in very good condition, as pictured, with only a few minor imperfections noted (missing very tip of the antenna, a marker was used on the bottom of the set). Even to box is still in good shape for its age, retaining the Sony branded styrofoam inserts. All of the included extras also seem to be in good shape. The television did power on, as expected (see pics). I was also surprised to see that the external battery showed a bit of a charge - though I did not try to either charge it further or run the set off of the battery. This is the first time I have come across the external battery, and while I have seen the TV before, it's one of the nicer examples of this model.
