Description: Book description: Published by John Murray in November 1900, this is the first reprint of the Popular Impression of 'The Origin of Species' by Charles Darwin. The decorated cloth green boards are in good only condition with wear to the corners and edges, especially at the top of the spine. The first free end-paper is missing and you can see the webbing down the spine at the front and back of the book. It is a little wobbly in its binding but the pages are very secure. The frontispiece is a photo of Darwin with its tissue guard intact. There is a fold-out chart opposite page 140. The pages are in very good condition throughout. The top text block is green. A nice copy of an important book.
