Description: One-Of-A-Kind GANONDORF Paint Master Prototype created by Toy Sculptor for Toy Biz From the Nintendo Video Game Super Stars figure line - Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, 2000. Figure is made of resin, and 1 to 1 scale...approximately the same size as the production figure (At left, in the first photo comparing Production to Prototype figure). Toy is roughly 5 & 1/2" tall. Prototypes like this were created in 1990s for Toy Biz. Once the action figure is finished being sculpted a rubber mold is made and anywhere from three to five copies are poured. (The numbers vary according to the toy company.) Two copies are sent to the manufacturer in China as the main pattern used to produce the tooling for actual plastic, retail toy. Two other copies are painted. These are the “Paint Masters”. One is sent to the manufacturer, one is retained by the toy company. These show the factory how to paint the toy. It's rare for paints masters to surface. This Paint Master Prototype is an incredible collector display piece and a wonderful piece of Nintendo, Zelda and Toy history. Main limbs and knee joints are connected via metal pegs; head is connected via a small plastic peg (that is currently too short to properly support the head). Hand painted paint job is incredible, but has small paint chips in a few places. It's in incredible condition for its age. Look closely at the photos please, and request additional photos if you're interested. What you see is what you will receive once purchased -- except the Production figure shown for comparison, that is not included. There are no additional accessories, weapons or other parts included.
