Description: For Auction:True Temper single bit axe head, was painted blue, from an Estate Sale, I had absolutely no idea why it was painted, it appears undamaged, the original artist was not available for questioning.It weighs 3-lbs. 12.4-oz., 7-9/16" long, 4-3/4" measured straight across the cutting edge tip-to-tip, the poll is 3-1/4" x 1-1/8" and has a 2-1/2" long x 7/8" wide handle eye. with (4)-vertical ridges.It has been cleaned, blue paint removed to reveal someone's name, I used sandpaper to remove and applied black marker to cover the area above the True Temper.My photos are the best description.
