Description: Original antique Victorian coat, almost certainly from the 1890s judging by the sleeves but could be a couple years earlier or later. It is a beautiful 100% wool lined (including the sleeves) with silk. Combination machine and hand stitching, the lining and the trim are sewn on by hand. You can see the hand stitches in several parts which is so beautiful! It has an interesting East Asian style with the trim and button style. All of the buttons and button loops are still in place! No external pockets but one in the lining. It’s slightly too small for me and not my style or I would keep it and try to fix it up. It’s in extremely good condition for how old it is but has about a dozen very small holes in the wool, and parts of the trim are falling off. Please note the larger hole underneath the trim, 2cm diameter max. It also has a few small stains which I would rather not attempt to solve as an amateur — if you buy this you can spot clean it as needed instead of having to fix whatever problem I would cause by trying to clean it. I believe the stains at the front hem are from mice as the last person to own it kept it in her car. It has no tags. The back is slightly over 15 inches from armscye to armscye. I usually wear a 2X and this is only a bit too small for me around the shoulders, the rest of the coat is loose and fits very easily on my ~35inch waist.
