Description: UPDATE 12/10/24: Upon further page-by-page inspection, I found a small corner rip on page 19 where a very small corner has been torn away. It in no way changes the readability of the text or the page numbers. The tear is triangle-shaped and measures 1/2” x 1/2” x 3/4” (on the diagonal). Please see 2 new pictures I’ve added here for transparency. In my opinion, I don’t believe this changes the overall condition of the book significantly at all, but in a show of good faith, I am reducing the price and taking 10% off (i.e. a price of $67.50 plus shipping). Prior to his passing at the age of 53 in 1982, his career had spanned roughly 30 years and he had 44 novels and countless other pieces of work published. Many say his writing has become more known and mainstream since his passing as more have become familiar with his work through numerous adaptations to film, references in musical works to his writing, and the influence he had on other writers. His 1969 “Ubik” is a mind-bending horror story set in the 1990s, is one of Dick’s most celebrated novels, and was selected as one of Time Magazine’s 100 greatest novels since 1923. The “atomic skull” cover version for sale here is extremely hard to find. This paperback version of the book was printed and published in Great Britain in 1984. Please see all the pictures that show the remarkable condition of the 191-page paperback book that has had only one owner. The front and back covers are in extremely good condition with no tears and only extremely minor creases consistent with typical handling. All pages are without tears, creases, markups, or barely a trace of aging/discoloring. The page edges from the outside show some very minor staining, but otherwise there are no significant visible defects or damage. Feel free to ask any questions or for additional pictures.
