Here we have a beautiful early MCM model hand painted ceramic SALAD PLATE designed by Don Blanding for VERNON KILNS, USA in the "Lei Lani" pattern - displaying a variety of flowers in multiple colors on a brown background. The bottom is marked, "LEI LANI ~ Designed by Aloha Don Blanding ~ VERNON KILNS ~ Made in U.S.A." It measures approx. 7-1/2" in top diameter x 4" on base diameter x 3/4" side high.It is in good to very good maintained (lightly used) condition, commensurate with its age, with no chips or cracks or crazing (some surface rub/scuff marks here and there from age and use throughout the years, seen in angled light...not offensive.) Came from a private home collection of many years, however the exact age is unknown, pattern discontinued, production started in 1947. This item weighs approx. 1/2 lb., add 1-1/2 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased. Payment and shipping...
