Description: Lovely construction - emerald rayon velvet, partially lined in iridescent rust, built for a zaftig silhouette, with green lining at the waist and hips. capped sleeves. darted bust, slimming skirt, walking pleat, rounded neckline, back metal zipper and gunmetal grey band and starburst at the waist. Marked a Size 18 (Oh, vintage sizing!) and IGWU (early 1960s). No Designer label. So fitted and form-flattering. Velvet is very soft and pliable. Areas could benefit from steaming. I often refer to these areas as bruises. It can happen at 60 years of age. No structural damage to note. DryCleaned. Dress measures: bust to 40, shoulder to shoulder 16, sleeve length 5, waist 34-36, hips 40-42, length 45, hem sweep is 48.
