Description: Here's a pair of vintage American Optical tinted Safety Glasses. Most likely used for Welding but also for Motorcycle use. Nickel plated steel frames are very strong with cable temples. The original coating on the cable temples is dry and cracking. Frames show some light surface corrosion in spots that could be cleaned up and polished. Original leather protective Side panels and Bridge cover wraps around the nose piece and it does snap on and off. Leather is supple and in perfect condition. Optics on the lenses are very good with no scratches or pitting. I don't think they were ever used for welding or used much at all. Comes in original brown case made of coated canvas with cardboard liner. A nice example and very wearable today. Guaranteed to please the new owner or I'll buy it back. Check my Feedback.
