(aka: Escasany Brothers), was a well known watch and jewelry shop located in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 1892 to 1978. It was the most important shop in the country, with almost 1500 employees, and several branchs all along the country. You can see a photo in the listing. Movement: Manual-winding stem (crown’s hole at 3 o’clock). Gold tone. Bimetallic screw balance. Breguet hairspring. Signed “Escasany Hnos., Buenos Aires”. Serial number: 1256098. Dial: Matte silver (textured). Black Arabic hour numerals. Outer minute chapter. Subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clock. Signed “Ancora, Suiza”. Dimension: 42mm. diameter. Condition: Movement: Complete, but not working (balance wheel works, but it does not respond to winding).
