Description: This is a wonderful vintage battery op Jolly Chimp. He comes with his original box and original tag around his neck. The battery department (2 D batteries) is very clean as is the chimp. At auction they said he works. He doesn't. I tried a couple things, but nope. When you press the top of his head he does bare his teeth.I went on You Tube and sure enough found two videos of people fixing these guys. Here is the problem. Beyond rewinding springs on old toys I do not want to wreak him. At 72 years old my husband used to say "Don't let her get around the wheel barrel she's not good with machines" ha ha ha.In this case he may be right.He said he would fix him. Yup projects have been laying here for years.So here he is selling as is. What a shame. But if buyer is handy--a great resell or a great toy. Everything about him looks great.Since I am selling him as is--no returns please.
