Description: In very good vintage condition. See Photos. I once read an article about this piece being made for the Statue of Liberty celebration which took place in 1986, but cannot find that article on today's web. But the backmark is consistent with age of brooch as MONET began using this backmark with the copyright "C" on the left side in the 1980s. The brooch appears to be made with two old French centimes (large pennies) of the 1850 & 1860s soldered together with a wheat chain border on both side and then gold plated. That may be why it is a scarce item. Lots of labor involved. Shipping includes tracking and a signature upon delivery. No International sales on this item.
