Description: Very old water color set made by winsor and newton . If you look at the last photo, BRIGID BALFOUR is engraved. Brigid was a noted British Scientist. She has a wikipedia bio. Online search ,not been able to find any family members. But I was brief in looking. When i bought this on ebay her name wasn't even mentioned , box came from the area Brigid lived in. Anyway I made a try at watercolors but Did not like it. I will stick with oils LOL. I purchased tubes after i got the box so they're included . the condition of the box is OLD..LOL rusty as to be expected from a set this old. But its usable. I believe box had metal dividers originally but they're long gone. the pans stay in no problem , box closes evenly but doesn't snap closed and I don't think it ever did. Some pans are ceramic and probably original. others are newer plastics. colors of the tubes are sennelier yelow deep, sennelier cadmium red light, koi=burnt sienna, ivory black,purple, prussian blue emerald green. 7 tubes and theyve been used a little bit. anyway for 60 dollars you can't miss and i pay ship. . nice if U use watercolors to ad in collection. thanks usa bidders only.
