This brooch is set on a golden bronze colored frame but is stamped "925 S" which is a STERLING SILVER MARK. We have not tested this brooch. One end of the brooch has a metal ring underneath so it could be used on a chain as a pendant as well. This brooch has a very unique and eye catching metal frame and the large topaz crystal is simply stunning!!!! Close up and at certain light angles you can actually see the pin mechanism on the back through the crystal. If you wanted to eliminate this you could simply paint the back of the crystal.
