Description: Welcome to Hollyhock Quilts! 1976 was a HUGE year for renewing interest in the World of Quilting! Several Bicentennial Contests were promoted and one of the most successful was The Great Quilt Contest sponsored by Good Housekeeping magazine, the U.S. Historical Society, and the Museum of American Folk Art. There were 9,954 entries representing all fifty states. QNM also had a contest. These 12 Issues cover the entire year. **This Year the January Issue had the Quilts and Other Comforts Catalog included and in May a 9 Part Series of Applique Sampler was started. The last Part was in January 1977 and I am including that Issue so you can have the entire Quilt (13 Issues)! These Magazines are in good pre-owned and used condition. Many are in great shape. Patterns are UNCUT and appear Unused. There may be small scuffs, smudges, tears, folds or stains. You may also see some writing by the Original Owners along with several different names on the address label as I collected them avidly. These Magazines offer a Great Tour of the most recent evolution of Quiltmaking with LOTS of Fun Stuff to look at! Enjoy!! PLEASE NOTE: There will be several listings of these Magazines, both Sets and Singles. They are mostly from the 70s and 80s, so be sure to see them all. Any questions, please ask. As always, I'm happy to combine whenever possible and any excess postage paid over $1 will be refunded. Thanks for visiting and please come back soon!
