The first of Wade's miniature villages, called Whimsey-on-Why, consists of fours sets of eight buildings and one set of four buildings, for a total of 36 buildings. Each of the buildings captures the "olde worlde character which is so typical of the best of England's villages." Fired on transfers were used to create the detail on the buildings.
