Description: Indicated on the front as follows: H.A.A.F Hondo Tex. PL5G928-55 Stamped "Restricted" on the back, which is different than the "Confidential" I have seen on other similar photos. From the Synthetic Training Section, AAFNS, Hondo, Texas. AAFNS was the Army Air Force Navigational School at Hondo Air Base during WW2. They trained bomber and transport navigators. Shows a close-up of some type of radar or navigation equipment in a classroom setting. You can see "thousands of feet" on the rim of the dial. Maybe an altimeter or some kind of bombing device indicator? On the left you see "Rec. Gain" and on the right "Circle Size". The "c's" are almost closed. A very rare and unique photo. The history of the Hondo Air Base is extensive and online, check it out on Wikia. Be sure to check out the other photos I have listed from this grouping. Measures 8 x 10 J102720
