This U.S. WW2 edged weapon would make an important addition to any collection. This knife is fully ID'd to the vet that carried it! He has his name marked on the sheath 'L.R. HASSELBACH'. The serviceman wrote marked the sheath 'FREMONT OHIO U.S.N. U.S.S. CHIWAWA'. The U.S.S. Chiwawa was an oiler/fuel tanker ship. This knife measures 12 1/8" overall. The blade measures 7". The ricasso is marked 'KA-BAR OLEAN, N.Y.'. CONDITION: This knife is in excellent condition. The blade has no rust--just carbon staining of the blade surface. ***International Customers: Shipping can seem high on certain items, because tracking and insurance (required for higher cost items) is expensive when shipping internationally.
