They shipped to Hawaii to defend the Hawaiian Islands, then later were relieved in May, 1945 to train for the Invasion of Japan. When the War ended, they were shipped to Japan and served as part of the Army of Occupation. A few small units had been sent to the Pacific War to reinforce other outfits. The patch was removed from a uniform. It is in fair to fair plus condition and at least 79 years old.
