ABOUT THIS BOOK: "Young Hunters in Porto Rico; or, The Search for a Lost Treasure" is a book by Captain Ralph Bonehill (Edward Stratemeyer), published in 1900. The story follows a group of young adventurers on a quest to find hidden treasure in the exotic setting of Porto Rico. Along the way, they face various challenges, solve puzzles, and uncover secrets. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Edward L. Stratemeyer (October 4, 1862 - May 10, 1930) was an American publisher, writer of children's fiction and founder of the Stratemeyer Syndicate. He was one of the most prolific writers in the world, penning over 1,300 books and selling more than 500 million copies. Stratemeyer created many well-known children's fiction book series, including The Rover Boys, The Bobbsey Twins, Tom Swift, The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew, many of which sold millions of copies and remain in publication. On his legacy, Fortune wrote: "As oil had its Rockefeller, literature had its Stratemeyer". CONDITION: This old hard back book is complete and intact, in very good-plus condition. The covers are in excellent condition for their age The inside covers are in good condition; there is some light cracking and separation present at the hinges, the boards are pulling slightly from the binding. The only markings present is a nice gift inscription neatly written on the front end paper, dated ‘09. The pages are in very good to very good-plus condition, the pages are crisp, all pages are tight to the binding. The spine is in excellent condition , the gold gilt lettering is easily read.
